Overview

About the programme

The Bachelor of Pharmacy is a four-year degree covering the full breadth of pharmaceutical science: pharmaceutics and formulation, medicinal and analytical chemistry, pharmacology and toxicology, pharmacognosy, microbiology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical jurisprudence, industrial pharmacy, and clinical and community pharmacy practice. Laboratory work runs through every year of the programme, and the later years introduce regulatory affairs, quality assurance, pharmacovigilance and a project that asks students to investigate a question of their own. Graduates enter manufacturing, quality, regulatory and clinical research roles, or continue to postgraduate study.
